Title: Principles of Renal Replacement Therapy

Description:

Renal replacement therapy (RRT) has become more available in veterinary medicine throughout the United States, as well as in other countries. RRT is frequently considered for acute kidney injury or acute-on-chronic kidney disease and various types of toxicosis. In this lecture, we will discuss the principles and mechanisms of RRT in various RRT modalities. This session also covers the indications, basic procedures, outcomes, and complications of RRT in dogs and cats.
